Entry into PTT LNG Project

Thailand's first LNG Receiving Terminal Project is under construction. Though Insulation on PTT LNG Receiving Terminal Projects will be after some time (2010!), we have made an early entry on the project by securing scaffolding works from Christiani & Nelson.

Though a small order this will give us the advantage of early entry and visibility on the project.

New Projects

In last one month K-Thailand has secured following new projects:

MOC/ Boiler Austrian Energy Project: We have secured this order and consolidated our position on MOC Projects. This is our fourth order on MOC Project after securing Samsung (Main), Technip (Furnace) and BSP (offsite) orders. At the time of writing we also have confirmation of fifth package on MOC Project from Bangkok Industrial Boilers (subsidiary of VPE) for insulation of Boiler Proper.

ESP (Samsung) Scaffolding Project: We have secured common scaffolding project from Samsung on PTT ESP Project.

ESP (QTEC) Scaffolding Project: We have received order from QTEC for scaffolding works on ESP Project.

MKK TPAC - PC2: Since 2003 (when we did the first project with MKK) we have done insulation on all of their projects. Continuing with that tradition we have received a small but important order from MKK for TPAC PC2 Project.

New Members in K-Thailand Family

I am pleased to inform that following new members have joined K-Thailand family:

Stephen Burrows:

Steve joined us as Project Manager on our Pluto LNG Project. Though in Thailand for first time, Steve has long association with KAEFER Group and also with KAEFER in S.E. Asia, having worked with us on TIGA and MRR LNG Projects in Malaysia.

Steve has extensive experience in Insulation, specially on LNG Projects.

Devender Batra:

Dev joined us as Manager (Finance) and will take over from Parag Nerurkar, who is, unfortunetly, leaving because of personal reasons. Dev is a qualified Chartered Accountant and have good experience in Accounts, MIS and Financial Planning.

I welcome both of them, now fast growing, K-Thailand family.

K-Thailand is now ISO and OHSAS Certified

As informed before, we had successfully completed ISO and OHSAS Audit last month. Based on that, today Bureau Vertis has issued us ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 Cerificates.

Pluto Pre-Insulation - First Shipment

The first shipment pre-insulation scope (25 spools) was completed by K-Thailand and K-Australia JV on 31st July, 4 days ahead of schedule. Subsequently we are running five days ahead of schedule on second shipment delivery.

Ball started rolling at MOC

On 24th July K-Th started direct site work at Samsung MOC Project. The bottom heads of equipments and some exchangers were released to us early this week and we mobilized resources immediately and started the work.

Contractually, we had to start MOC in September, but this early releases and our immediate action has given us advantage of early start.
