On 24th July K-Th started direct site work at Samsung MOC Project. The bottom heads of equipments and some exchangers were released to us early this week and we mobilized resources immediately and started the work.
Contractually, we had to start MOC in September, but this early releases and our immediate action has given us advantage of early start.

Pattaya Marathon 2008
On July 20th, 2008, new and old members from our KAEFER family once again took part in the annual Pattaya Marathon. Even the rain was not enought to dampen the spirits of our team (well.........most of our team). The marathon was followed by a fantastic breakfast. Once again a well organised event for the whole KAEFER team. Lets hope to see everyone again next year as well.
Go KAEFER!!!!
AK
BTW, we should also have some words of praise for those who did not actually participate in the marathon (due to rain or whatever) but were present there to cheer the participants!

RIC: NPC Steam Line Project
KAEFER has secured NPC Steam Line Project from Rayong Intania Company (RIC). This is small size project but is a repeat order from RIC (after we successfully completed their project in TOL) and is line with Management's policy of complimenting our bigger projects with smaller projects as well as our policy of working towards achieving substantial repeat orders from our clients.
Supasith
Note from SB: Congrats. Our existing maintenance team in NPC will handle this project under guidance of Thomas and co-ordinated by Noi.

PTT Chem [NPC] CUI Project Completed
After disappointment of our first experience with PTT Chem CUI (Corrossion Under Insulation) Project in 2006, where we failed on almost all fronts, I am pleased to inform you that we have completed the second project successfully.
Actually to say we completed CUI2 successfully is an understatement. We got everything right on this project. We took the job at just the right price (against my wish, Darpan wanted to take it as a challenge!), we mobilised just the right kind of people and resources, we executed the job well, we kept ourselves ahead of the schedule (against client requirement of six months, we completed project in 3-1/2 months), we got our documentation right (the fact that in PTT Chem we got our final invoice certified within a week of 100% completion proves how helpful correct and precise documentation is) and we had just the right kind of motivation, that is 'we will not fail this time'.
Congratulation Noi. A job well executed.
Moral of this story is: We have to learn lessons from our failures. We had tough time on CUI 1, we learned from it and executed CUI 2 successfully and enjoyed it. Now, Noi tells me we should take all CUI jobs in PTT Chem!

Pluto LNG: First pre-insulated spool delivered
The first completed pre-insulated pipe was successfully delivered to the client on Pluto LNG Project. This is the first time PIR Pre-insulation system is implemented in Thailand.
The delivery of the first pipe also means first significant achievement of this prestigious mega project. The ball has started rolling now.
Congratulations to Dave, Phil, John and other collegues from Australia and also Darpan and his team. All who have associated with this work has worked very hard for last couple of weeks.

K-Th Receives order for RCC Upgrade Project
KAEFER Thailand received the order for thermal insulation on RRC Upgrade Project from SKEC. The work involves thermal insulation of equipment(including towers) and piping. The scope also includes scaffolding required for insulation.
Earlier K-Th had already received order for refractory work on the same project, which is now 85% successfully completed.
This order is strategically important to us as our target is always to get repeat orders from our regular clients. Since we did ATC1 expansion project for SKEC in year 2005, we have worked with them on all their projects involving insulation, scaffolding and refractory.
Congratulations to Drapan and his team.
Project Management Department headed by Ravindran shall lead this project with Nitin as Site Incharge.
